On the Arch of the bridge there is an engraved the year 1690. West from Tsagkaraki until Kiparissi, the River forms a steep ravine with lush vegetation and small waterfalls.
BRIDGE IN POSITION HANI OF AGIOS SYLLAS
Today the most remarkable monument is an offshoot of Giofyroy, at the height of the Village Inn St Syllas. This is a stone bridge over the road until 1910 connected Heraklion with the Prophet Elijah and the Messara.
