Church of Agia Zoni & St. Nicholas in Dafnes

In the village square there is the two-Aisled old church of Agia Zoni & St. Nicholas.

Oldest is the extended nave of St. Nicholas which was built on the ruins of an older Church of St. George and Mary, as evidenced in his Turkish translation Heraklion file (no 857/1685) according to information, during the revolution against the Turks in 1866, the village was looted and burned down the Temple of Agia Zoni. In 1887 by the stonemason and architect of the era of Dafnes, Peter i. Chaniotakis the reform of the Church. Created two bridges on the south wall and joined the extended nave of St. Nicholas with the Ag. Zone. For admiration for the architectural and aesthetic value is the stone bell tower and the antireides trilobo at the corners of the single most temple. In the year 2000, on 2 July, with a formal ceremony the parish of Palms welcomed piece of Timias area since then kept in the temple.
