In the hamlet of Profitis Ilias is Little Fontana. This is an old fountain next to the laundry room where there were old women of the village.
The family Kypriotaki Menexes estate is located 20 kilometres southeast of the city of Heraklion and within walking distance of the Minoan settlement in vathipetro where found the oldest winepress (4,000 years) of Minoan Crete.
Our winery is located in a mountain area in the village of Profitis Ilias, a few kilometers away from Heraklion and is active in the wine world since 1999, initiated by the organic farmer and winemaker Priamos Ieronymakis.
To reach the monastery follow the dirt track 3,5 km. East connecting the Prophet Elijah in the village Karnari, in the municipality of Archanes.
