The history of the village is old and the first mention of his name is in a document of 1375 found among documents of the Ducal archive of Chandax. From 1577 recorded in all directories apart from the inventories late 1940s and 1951, it seems that the village was abandoned, but reappears in the censuses from 1961 onwards.
It is a rich village in vine and olive products (grapes, raisins, wine, oil, olives, etc.) with hospitable and hardworking residents.
The visitor can admire and buy nice and inspired handcrafted jewelry from the laboratory of Evangelia Kokosali that works in the village, to enjoy the treat in the picturesque Cafe and lodge on the reverence of the Church of panaghia Galatianis or Galenianis and listen to the local tradition for the building.
